WORLD'S FIRST FAMILY BUSINESS BOOTCAMP

Wendel International Centre for Family Enterprise (WICFE) and Family Business Network (FBN) Academy sponsor the world’s first Family Business Bootcamp in 2014.

WORLD'S FIRST FAMILY BUSINESS BOOTCAMP

Why?

Traditional business education focuses on analytical and technical skills. While these are important, family business leaders also need experiential learning that develops the skills, attitudes, and behaviors required to navigate the complex intersection of family and business. The Bootcamp was designed to fill this gap by providing an intensive, hands-on learning experience that goes beyond the classroom. Participants engage in challenging physical and team activities, reflective exercises, and facilitated discussions that build self-awareness, resilience, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team – all essential capabilities for leading a family enterprise.

Who?

Professor Randel Carlock from INSEAD led the Bootcamp for 30 attendees, together with Professor Gaia Marchisio from FBN Academy, and other next generation coaches facilitating the breakout groups at each table.Entry to the Bootcamp is at the discretion of the Bootcamp committee. Acceptance to the Bootcamp is not transferable, except by approval of the committee. Instructions for payment will be provided upon acceptance.
